Crews are hoping to put the finishing touches to a pavement overlay on Brier Road this week, but the project may be delayed in wrapping up if wet weather continues.
Work began last week on Brier Road between 228th Street Southwest and the southern boundary of Brier at approximately 243rd Place Southwest when crews ground away the old top layer of the roadway. A new road surface has been laid; striping of the roadway will occur this week if work crews get dry weather.
In addition to the road resurfacing, the project includes construction of 19 ADA-approved sidewalk ramps.
The $443,389 project is being paid for by a grant from the State of Washington Transportation Improvement Board
