The Concern for Neighbors Food Bank in Mountlake Terrace has once again been granted money from the Edmonds-based Hazel Miller Foundation for the purchase of dairy items and other grocery needs for the food bank.
“These grants help stretch the food dollars for the food bank during the year and at the holidays,” said Concern for Neighbors Food Bank Executive Director Anne Peterson.
The Hazel Miller Foundation grants approximately $500,000 annually to numerous non-profit organizations involved in education, youth services, environmental issues, culture and the arts, and meeting needs of the hungry and poor throughout south Snohomish County. The foundation has given funds to the Concern for Neighbors Food Bank annually for the past few years.
“Concern for Neighbors Food Bank genuinely appreciates the generosity of the Hazel Miller Foundation in helping us to continue to help families in need in our community,” Peterson said.
