Mountlake Terrace City officials are making plans for a two-hour time frame of live musical entertainment prior to a 10 p.m. fireworks show on July 4. The new event, the Mountlake Terrace Independence Day Celebration, will take place this summer at Evergreen Playfield if the city can raise $10,000 by May 10.

The city is soliciting for sponsors to pay for the event, with five sponsorship levels available to businesses, organizations or individuals wishing to contribute: Presidential, for a financial outlay of $5,000 or more; Patriot, for $2,000 to $4,999; Liberty, for $1,000 to $1,999; Stars and Stripes, for $500 to $999; and Red, White and Blue, for $100 to $499.

All sponsors will receive recognition from the city on the day of the event and be included on all promotional materials. Additionally, commemorative plaques and certificates will be presented based on the level of sponsorship.

Sponsorship forms are available here or by calling 425-776-9173.

Western Display of Canby, Oregon, has signed on to be the pyrotechnics vendor for the celebration.

  1. Red Onion Burgers is excited that the Mountlake Terrace City Council voted 7 – 0 to bring the 4th of July fireworks back to Mountlake Terrace. Red Onion Burgers is so supportive that we are on board as a Patriot sponsor. I would like to encourage my fellow businesses and associates to consider sponsoring an event that is so near and dear to the hearts of our fellow citizens.
