City now accepting applications for vacant MLT Council position

The City of Mountlake Terrace is now accepting applications for the vacant Position 5 on the City Council. The term of this appointment runs until the November 2013 election is certified.

To qualify as a Mountlake Terrace City Council candidate, you must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen without any felony convictions, and a registered voter who has lived within the city for at least one year.

The application period ends on Monday, Aug. 13, at 3 p.m. All qualified applicants will be interviewed by the present council at a special meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 14, beginning at 6 p.m. The City Council will appoint the new councilmember that evening, with the swearing-in scheduled for Monday, Aug. 20.
