The Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission presents the Christina Harvey Painting Exhibit for the month of August at the Mountlake Terrace Library, located at 23300 58th Avenue West.
Christina Harvey has been painting for over four decades. She earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree from California State University at Northridge. She is a juried member of the Seattle Co-Arts, Arlington Arts Council and Round Robin. Harvey’s paintings have been exhibited at several galleries including Citrine Gallery, FogDog Gallery, Gallery North, Ornamental Gallery, Schack Art Center, Seagrass Gallery and Solovei Gallery.
“I grew up in a family of artists, Art had been around me my whole life,” Harvey said. “I also worked as a Technical Illustrator and Graphic Designer, which gave me another artistic perspective. I am working on an expressionistic style where I can really paint in acrylic, and show my love of color and design with some abstraction or touch of whimsy. I find this very exciting, and fellow artists recognize my style.”
Harvey’s works are in private and public collections including the Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington and Snohomish County Art Collection at the Courthouse in Everett.
The Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission oversees the library exhibits as part of its mission to promote cultural events in the community.
The show runs through August 31 at the Mountlake Terrace Library, Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 5 p.m.
