Snohomish County burn ban lifted

As of noon Thursday, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency has lifted the air quality burn ban issued for Pierce and Snohomish counties. Agency forecasters expected winds to pick up Thursday evening, which should help disperse air pollution that has built up over the past few days, especially in communities where wood burning is common. »

The City of Mountlake Terrace has been awarded an $80,000 grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce to replace existing streetlights with new energy-efficient Light Emitting Diode (LED) fixtures.
