New Casino Coming to Former Silver Dollar Site
A new casino may be coming to town at teh former Silver Dollar Casino site. The original owners who had opened up the Silver Dollar many years ago have submitted a conditional use permit (CUP) application to establish a casino at site, located at 7016 220th St. SW.
The casino facility would be in the same configuration as before its 2008 closure. Casinos are allowed in the light industrial/office park zoning district associated with an eating/drinking establishment as a “conditional use.”
Once the application is deemed complete, the site will be posted with a Notice of Complete Application. A final decision on a conditional use is made by the Hearing Examiner after a public hearing.
