Bryan Wahl was sworn in as a Mountlake Terrace City Councilmember on Tuesday, Sept. 4, filling the Position 5 vacancy created when former member Michelle Robles resigned on June 28.
Wahl will serve on the council through November 2013, when a special election will be held for the position. He has already indicated that he will run in that election in an effort to keep the seat.
Wahl is a partner for Government Affairs Strategies, a consulting firm that develops public policy strategies for clients nationwide. He has also served for the past 14 years on the city’s Planning Commission, where he has been vice chair since 2004.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed serving on the Planning Commission for the past 14 years and I am honored to continue my service in Mountlake Terrace by serving on the City Council,” Wahl said.
