During this evening’s commute there was a brushfire next to I-5 near 220th. One of our followers (@mindsize2) on twitter relayed the above photo from @beaujoe. As you can, see it wasn’t that bad but slowed down traffic significantly.

A brush fire earlier this evening closed the offramp from northbound I-5 to 220th Street SW and blocked the right lane of the freeway.
Fire crews were called after 5 p.m. and knocked down the fire quickly, state Department of Transportation spokeswoman Sandy Lam said.
“There is a lot of smoke, so many people are slowing down,” she said.
The fire was burning in the area between the offramp and the freeway.
