Boys basketball: Bowman scores 25 to lead Hawks over Scots

MTHSHawks logoThe Mountlake Terrace High School boys basketball team used a big first quarter to jump ahead of the Shorecrest Scots Friday night; the Hawks led 25-8 after the first eight minutes, then cruised to at 63-54 victory at Shorecrest High School.

Greg Bowman scored 25 points to lead the Hawks in scoring. Loren Lacasse broke out of his recent scoring slump to contribute 19 points.

Terrace plays three games next week starting with a Monday, Jan. 6 road trip to Shorewood. Then the Hawks will meet the 8-1 Glacier Peak Grizzles on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Mountlake Terrace High School, a game that can be seen live on the Sound Live Sports Network on MLTnews.com starting at 7:05 p.m.
