Police divers recovered a young man’s body from Lake Ballinger Wednesday around noon.
According to Mountlake Terrace Police Commander Doug Hansen, a walker spotted a body floating in the lake Wednesday morning around 8:45 a.m. Divers from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department pulled the body from the north side of the fishing dock.
The body is described as a black man in the 15-25 year range wearing a black hoodie, several shirts, gray sweat pants and a pair of black high-top tennis shoes. The body had no identification or obvious signs of trauma.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the body and the medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death, Hansen said.
The police investigation is also continuing, he added. Anyone with information about the incident or the man’s possible identity is asked to call the Mountlake Terrace Police Department at 425-670-8260.
