The Nile Country Club is hosting the first annual Bluegrass on the Green festival Aug. 4-5 at its golf course, 6601-244th S.W. The event will feature two days of outdoor performances by a number of Northwest bluegrass bands, headlined by the Seattle group Northern Departure.
In addition to live bluegrass music, the festival will also feature plenty of food and drink, with pancake breakfasts, a full-service bar and restaurant, and a beer and wine garden. In addition, there will be vendors on site and an instrument raffle.
Other bands scheduled to perform included Bluegrass Regulators, Jim Faddis and One More Ride, Sugar Pine, The Stray Dogs, Wayward Vessel Badger Pocket, Deer in the Headlights and Convergence Zone.
Tickets are available through Brown Paper Tickets, or by calling 1-800-838-3006. Ticket prices are $25 for Saturday, 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.; $15 for Sunday, 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. or a two-day pass for $35. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Nile Shrine charities.
