BECU partners with schools foundation to support weekend meals for homeless students

foundation esd logoThe Foundation for Edmonds School District has teamed up with BECU to “Share the Dream,” a new promotional campaign to support its Nourishing Network, the foundation’s weekend meal program to feed homeless and at risk-youth.

Through BECU’s “Share the Dream” program, for each new member who opens a BECU checking and member share savings account, $50 will be donated to the foundation to support the Nourishing Network.

“BECU was founded on the principle of people helping people 80 years ago” said Molly Andrews, Events Development and PR Manager. “As a credit union, our primary motivation is making a difference for our members and our community.”

BECU is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative committed to the financial well-being of their members and the communities in which they serve.

The Nourishing Network operates in partnership with the Edmonds School District, and helps to feed both homeless and at-risk youth in the Edmonds School District. Last year, the foundation provided over 1,500 weekend meals to over 90 homeless and low-income students weekly.
