From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Red Onion Burgers will partner with the Mountlake Terrace Police Department to host an all day Dining for Dollars to benefit Behind the Badge Foundation.
Owners of Red Onion Burgers Seaun and LaRae Richards say they want to help Behind the Badge as a way to show their support to police officers after recent police shootings in Dallas and Palm Springs, California.
Behind the Badge Foundation is an organization that takes the burden off of the families of fallen police officers killed in the line of duty. They plan the funerals and organize benefits to the families of officers, among other means of support.
Monday’s activities include a silent auction, raffle, pictures of participants dressed up in a prison outfit in a jail cell and on-site police support.
All kids meals (under 12) will cost $3.00 and children will receive a Free Mountlake Terrace Police Badge and a chance to win a Chief for a Day Party. Additionally, Red Onion Burgers will donate 20 percent of all proceeds and 100 percent of tips to the Behind the Badge Foundation.
Red Onion Burgers is located at 21005 44th Ave. W., Ste. 101. Their phone number is 425-678-8340.
